On Sunday 9th October we (Andy Barlow, Neil Elsden, Abbie Paginton, Travis Fowler, Louise Rhoades and Tracey Heath) from Banks Ltd in Swindon will be running the Swindon Half Marathon to raise money for Wiltshire Young Carers.
Wiltshire Young Carers is a charity which supports young people, aged 5 – 25, who provide a significant level of care for someone at home. This could be a parent, sibling or any other relative. Young carers provide support for their family member in lots of different ways, which may include helping with the housework, giving medication and providing emtional support.
Wiltshire Young Carers supports these young people in many different ways. They can provide advice, individual mentoring emotional support, practical assistance and a huge variety of repsite activities which bring young carers together to relax with others in similar circumstances.
